As the fashion industry continues to adopt 3D apparel technology at an accelerated rate, it’s time to take things a step further to create a more efficient and agile selling process that is no longer limited to physical resources.
In collaboration with Metail, a 3D body and visualization innovator, we’re giving VStitcher users a head start by offering exclusive access to EcoShot, a plugin that provides a selection of six models from EcoShot’s full model avatar library.
With EcoShot Intro, users can dive into the world of 3D garment-on-model photography. They can dress, style, and create images of real-life models wearing 3D garments directly in VStitcher. This enables apparel designers to communicate their 3D designs with confidence and take their garment presentations to new dimensions while eliminating textile waste along the way.
The free plugin includes a variety of models in front-facing poses that can be previewed within the menu option within the plugin. The models can be utilized the same way as avatars, ready to be dressed in 3D garments.
“We are excited to expand the availability of EcoShot to all VStitcher users by offering EcoShot Intro. With this free version of EcoShot, 3D designers can instantly create and share on-model images with their teams and help them see how they can improve their 3D garment presentations for decision-making and selling,” says Jim Downing, CEO of Metail.
“We have seen the benefits that our customers have experienced by getting this final visual piece in place and making the most of their 3D assets. We are confident that this will strengthen the case for more and more companies to adopt 3D by demonstrating the advantages of EcoShot virtual photography over physical samples in terms of speed, ease, and sustainability,” adds Jim.
The EcosShot Intro and VStitcher integration give apparel companies the unique ability to visualize true-to-life 3D garments on real people, further reducing the need for physical samples throughout the approval cycle and selling process while staying ahead of schedule. “Saving time and cutting back on physical samples is definitely a big part of this capability,” says Paul Chan, Chief Amazement Officer, Hanin Enterprises Ltd. “ The realism of the 3D garments combined with EcoShot’s models has enabled us to present collections digitally on our website, providing shoppers with an even clearer idea of what the garment will look like on them, resulting in higher conversion rates.”
“This integration enables creativity and elevates how we look at 3D garments. “We’re not just looking at the development form, but we’re looking at it as a final product,” says Libby Wilson, Senior Manager 3D Execution Team at Walmart. “Walmart is very conscious of its eco-footprint, and in order to eliminate some of this burden, EcoShot is all-digital and has unlimited potential.”
The plugin enables users to create natural-looking, true-to-life images in minutes, directly from VStitcher, and explore an endless array of design and styling capabilities to elevate garment presentations quickly and easily.
“Fashion still remains emotional, so having the possibility to dress 3D garments on digitized humans leads to more acceptance of the 3D garment itself,” says Katharina Bobrowski, GM, featuring LTD. “3D is a great way to see how everything comes together, how looks can be created, and visualize your collections as they come to life.”
